The purpose of this biography is to recognize a life well lived. It is certainly a life worth remembering. The family will not permit our “Little Star” to fade away. As the last lines of her obituary state: “She may have been small in stature but, like a star, her light will never dim and will be felt forever. She will be loved for eternity.” To paraphrase a line from John Masefield’s 1902 poem, Sea Fever, Lita was – and continues to be – our star to steer by. Whether you knew her or not, we hope this monograph will explain why she was so exceptional.
Lita’s life story is presented chronologically and has been organized geographically in the tabs below, starting with her birth (“Philippines & Hawaiʻi”).
